Las metodologías se analizan en relación con el resto de los ejes temáticos y su importante clave temporal.[Abstract] The architecture workshop arises from the need to integrate the different skills that students must acquire during their learning in the development of a relevant architectural proposal, which must bring them closer to the interdisciplinary reality of professional architectural work through a specific intervention. To this end, the concepts of social responsibility and environmental adaptation will be considered, always developing critical capacity and ethical commitment to society and current comfort conditions. The aim is for students to tackle a complex process of developing a complete architectural intervention proposal, from its design to its precise technical realisation, covering the phases of data collection, interpretation, elaboration and execution. It uses a confluence of thematic axes of teaching innovation that have to conform to a work plan established in a schedule that sets phases to ensure the development of the complete project in the established teaching period. This communication focuses mainly on the presentation and assessment of the active methodologies used, their combinations and the results obtained. The methodologies are analysed in relation to the rest of the thematic axes and their important temporal ke

Aquí se exponen y analizan los antecedentes, las experiencias previas, que determinaron la asunción de este modelo[Abstract] The history of the Architecture Workshops (Talleres de Arquitectura) is revised, where these workshops are a collaboration experience among professors who manage the transversal nature of the architecture trade. These workshops were conceived to facilitate the confluence of the contents of the different subjects that concern the architectural project, thus guaranteeing the optimization of the teaching resources and rationalizing the work of the students. The proposed model is a work and exchange space that is attended simultaneously, not sequentially, by the professors of the different subjects: projects, construction, structures, urban planning, installations and composition. These workshops are now incorporated in the new curricula of the School of Architecture: degree and master. Here the antecedents, the previous experiences that determined the assumption of this model, are exposed and analyse

Trilepton signals: the golden channel for seesaw searches at LHC

Contribution to the Proceedings of the XXXIII International School of Theoretical Physics "Matter To The Deepest", Ustron, Poland, September 11-16, 2009.The comparison of samples with different number of charged leptons shows that trilepton signals are the most significant ones for seesaw mediators. As previously pointed out, this is indeed the case for scalar (type II) and fermion (type III) triplets at LHC, which can be discovered in this channel for masses up to 500-700 GeV and an integrated luminosity of 30 fb^-1; whereas fermion singlets (type I) are marginally observable if there are no further new physics near the TeV scale. However, if there are new gauge interactions at this scale coupling to right-handed neutrinos, as in left-right models, heavy neutrinos are observable up to masses ~ 2 TeV for new gauge boson masses up to ~ 4 TeV, as we discuss in some detail

35th International Conference of High Energy Physics - ICHEP2010, July 22-28, 2010, Paris (France). PoS(ICHEP 2010) 296.We update present bounds on the helicity of the neutrinos produced in muon decay, including e+e− ! f f LEP 2 data. These significantly reduce the limits derived from all the other electroweak precision data. In Standard Model extensions designed to maximize the RH neutrino production in such a decay the neutrino deficit eventually observable in a near detector at a neutrino factory can be of the order of 5 %. Motivated by the current LHC run at 7 TeV, we also update previous work providing discovery limits on see-saw mediators at this centre of mass energy. Lepton triplets with 200 GeV could be discovered with luminosities of 1 - 1.5 fb−1. Scalar triplets of the same mass might be seen with 0.75 - 3 fb−1. What makes their search also attractive in the first LHC analyses. This work has been partially supported by MICINN (FPA2006-05294), Junta de Andalucía (FQM 101, FQM 03048) and the European Union (MRTN-CT-2006-035505)

Designing binuclear transition metal complexes: a new example of the versatility of N,N′-bis(2-aminobenzyl)-4,13-diaza-18-crown-6

[Abstract] N,N′-Bis(2-aminobenzyl)-4,13-diaza-18-crown-6 (L) is a versatile receptor able to adapt to the coordinative preferences of different metal cation guests. With first-row transition metal ions, L tends to form binuclear complexes but, depending on the nature of the particular metal ion, the structure of the binuclear complex may be very different. Herein we report a study of the structure and magnetic properties of the corresponding nickel(II) and cobalt(II) complexes. The X-ray crystal structure of the nickel complex (1), with formula [Ni2(L)(CH3CN)4](ClO4)4·CH3CN, shows that this compound presents a symmetric coordination environment with L adopting an anti arrangement. Each Ni(II) ion is six-coordinate in a distorted octahedral environment, and both metal ions are quite far from each other. On the other hand, the X-ray crystal structure of the cobalt complex (2), with formula [Co(L)(μ-OH)Co(CH3CN)](ClO4)3, reveals a rather different structure. Coordination number asymmetry is found: one of the Co(II) is five-coordinate in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination environment, while the second Co(II) ion is six-coordinate in a distorted octahedral arrangement. Now L adopts a syn arrangement and a hydroxide group acts as a bridge between both cobalt ions. This hydroxo-bridged Co(II) binuclear complex shows structural features that mimic the active site of methionine aminopeptidases. The magnetic properties of 1 and 2 have been investigated in the temperature range 2.0–300 K. Whereas 1 displays a Curie law except for temperatures below 50 K where zero-field splitting of the S = 1 ground state is observed, antiferromagnetic exchange in the singular asymmetric binuclear Co(II) complex 2 has been observed. This magnetic behaviour has been fitted considering first-order spin–orbit coupling in the assumed axially distorted octahedral site and totally quenched orbital contribution in the five-coordinate site in which zero-field splitting of the S = 3/2 ground state is operative.Galicia. Presented at the XXXI International Conference of Theoretical Physics, “Matter to the Deepest”, Ustroń, Poland, September 5–11, 2007.Any new neutrino physics at the TeV scale must include a suppression mechanism to keep its contribution to light neutrino masses small enough. We review some seesaw model examples with weakly broken lepton number, and comment on the expected effects at large colliders and in neutrino oscillations. This work has been supported by MEC project FPA2006-05294, Junta de Andalucía projects FQM 101 and FQM 437, and by the European Community’s Marie-Curie Research Training Network under contract MRTN-CT-2006-035505 “Tools and Precision Calculations for Physics Discoveries at Colliders”. In recent years, the use of services for Open Systems development has consolidated and strengthened. Advances in the Service Science and Engineering (SSE) community, promoted by the reinforcement of Web Services and Semantic Web technologies and the presence of new Cloud computing techniques, such as the proliferation of microservices solutions, have allowed software architects to experiment and develop new ways of building open and adaptable computer systems at runtime. Home automation, intelligent buildings, robotics, graphical user interfaces are some of the social atmosphere environments suitable in which to apply certain innovative trends. This paper presents a schema for the adaptation of Dynamic Computer Systems (DCS) using interdisciplinary techniques on model-driven engineering, service engineering and soft computing. The proposal manages an orchestrated microservices schema for adapting component-based software architectural systems at runtime. This schema has been developed as a three-layer adaptive transformation process that is supported on a rule-based decision-making service implemented by means of Machine Learning (ML) algorithms. The experimental development was implemented in the Solar Energy Research Center (CIESOL) applying the proposed microservices schema for adapting home architectural atmosphere systems on Green Buildings
